It's happened to every photographer mom. You love taking photos of babies and children and don't be afraid to admit it.. You're pretty darn good at it. You're walking around Target and realize your little one is about to hit a milestone. You decide to grab a new shirt or two, head home (or to your studio) and pull out the backdrops.
Then this happens...
Then this happens...
Double-you. Tee. Eff.
Why? How?... Seriously?!
Well, this happened to me this morning with my 18 month-old son, Bekker. He has always been pretty good for his photos.. The one year photos were a little rough, but not too terrible... Today? UGGGHHHH!!!
The thing is, all 18 month-olds are hard to photograph indoors. They can walk and run now, so why would they want to sit there and look cute when they can run around and piss everyone off? That's way more fun than sitting still and being quiet, don't you agree?
I gave up because I can.. I can whip the drops out at any time and re-do these. I probably won't though because this is how he really is at this age.. Independent and BUSY! I got a couple decent smiley photos too, but these are my favorites because they're REAL.
So, for all you moms who get embarrassed because your child isn't being the most cooperative, it's all good! It happens to all of us at some point! The important thing to remember is that it's the age, not the kid! This isn't my first rodeo so I totally understand and expect whatever behavior your kiddo brings the day of your session :)
